Gdw632-2011 High Conductivity Energy-Saving Conductor (aluminum alloy wires or ACSR)
The stranded wire is camposed of several galvanized steel wires as the core and concentric twisted mult-layer hard aluminum wires withconductivity between 61.5%IACS and 63%lACS.Compared with the common AC5R,due to the improvement of the conductivity of the aluminum wire,theoverall DC resistance value of the canductor is reduced while the conductivity is improved,and hence the power loss is reduced.

The stranded wire is composed of multiple aluminum alloy wires with conductivity of 52.5%IACS or 53%IACS concentric twisted as the core and
multi-layer hard aluminum wires with conductivity of 61.5%IACS to 63%IACS concentric twisted as the outer layer.Under the condition of equal total
cross-section application,the 9%IACS steel core with hardly any conductivity is replaced by aluminum alloy core,which improves the conductivity of
aluminum wire correspondingly.And thus,the DC resistance is smaller than that of ordinary steel cored aluminum wire,leading to improved
conductivity.
